SLOW LEARNER

A child can be described as a slow learner if his or her thinking skills develop at a notably slower rate than that of his or her peers. The child will carry on through the exact same developmental stages as his or her peers at a comparatively slow rate.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • They learnt to walk and talk, but they appeared to be slower and more delayed than normal children.

  • Having scholastic difficulties in kindergarten, but falling more behind each year

  • They may appear immature for their age when conversing since they have difficulty getting to the point.

  • They regularly utter "out of the blue" things that have nothing to do with the remainder of the conversation.

  • They study yet don't seem to remember what they learn
